Zelensky Accuses Putin of Recruiting Fighters from 47 Countries

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of recruiting fighters from 47 countries to fight against Ukraine. He cited North Korea, Ghana and India among the nations whose nationals were enlisted.

Zelensky warned that if Moscow continues to attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Ukrainian forces could target Russian heating and energy facilities during the winter months. He emphasized that the threat would be directed at those facilities if the attacks persist.

Zelensky’s remarks at the UN General Assembly stated that Putin had enlisted fighters from 47 countries, including North Korea, Ghana and India, and warned of potential Ukrainian strikes on Russian heating and energy facilities if attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure continue.
