Xiaomi 18 Pro Phones Feature Rear Displays and Privacy Screens

Xiaomi unveiled its new 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China today, marking the first time the company has released a global launch for the series. The devices keep the rear‑display concept introduced with the 17 Pro models, allowing the compact screens to double as notification panels, selfie cameras and simple gaming displays while still housing the dual 200‑megapixel camera array. The phones also incorporate Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processors, a step up from the chips used in the previous generation.

The 18 Pro line follows a similar design language to the 17 Pro, featuring a flexible privacy‑display technology that mirrors Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra. Both models offer a more flexible take on the rear‑screen concept, and the company confirmed a worldwide release later this year. This international rollout comes after the 17 Pro series was limited to select markets, broadening Xiaomi’s presence in the high‑end smartphone segment.
