US Forces Help Transport Over 1 Billion Oil Barrels Through Hormuz Strait

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Admiral Brad Cooper announced on Saturday that U.S. forces have helped secure the passage of more than 1 billion barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz in the past few months, even as the region remains in the midst of a flare‑up of strikes between Iran and U.S. forces. The Admiral said the milestone was achieved while CENTCOM assisted over 2,000 commercial ship transits in the same period, underscoring the U.S. military’s role in maintaining maritime traffic in a critical chokepoint.
