Vice President J.D. Vance has announced that the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud will cut approximately $2.2 billion in taxpayer‑funded subsidies. The task force, which was created to identify and close loopholes in federal subsidy programs, will focus on streamlining eligibility criteria, tightening verification processes, and enhancing interagency data sharing.
