Steam approval delays cause indie game Food Devils to miss planned launch
Indie developers are reporting that Steam’s approval process is causing unexpected delays, leading some games to miss their scheduled launch dates. A screenshot of the upcoming title Food Devils shows the game listed as missing its planned release today. The developer, Studio Daimon, submitted the game’s build to Steam on October 12 and intended to launch in early access on the same day.
According to a post by game director Alfred Kamon, the build is “still awaiting approval,” and the team does not know when Steam will grant final clearance. Kamon noted that the studio sent an additional support ticket last week to inquire about the situation. Other indie developers have similarly posted on social media about unusually long wait times for Steam’s game‑submission approvals.
