Marlen Reusser secured her second consecutive world time‑trial title in Montreal, defeating a field that included her most anticipated rival, Demi Vollering, who finished eighth. The Swiss rider recorded a comfortable margin over the field, extending her reign as the world’s top time‑trialist after last year’s triumph in Kigali.

Reusser’s performance was highlighted by a strong start and steady pacing that left little room for challengers. French rider Franziska Koch captured third place, while the young British contender Zoe Backstedt produced a surprising early surge that briefly threatened Reusser’s lead before the Swiss rider reasserted control. Vollering, the defending champion and favorite, could not match the pace and slipped to eighth.
