Rabbit Launches Cloud‑Based OS3 AI Agent for Windows, Mac, and Linux

Rabbit, the startup behind the underwhelming R1 hardware, has announced a new cloud‑based AI agent called OS3. The company says the agentic operating system can be used without its own device, running in the cloud while interacting locally on Windows, macOS, and Linux machines. Users can link up to five devices to a single account and choose from a selection of AI models; OS3 then automatically identifies the necessary devices, files, applications, and models to complete a given task.

The platform is accessible through a dedicated desktop site, as well as via messaging apps such as Telegram or iMessage, and remains available on Rabbit’s R1 hardware. According to Wired, the OS3 design aims to streamline AI workflows across multiple devices, while The Verge reports that the system will manage context and resources on the fly to deliver seamless performance. Rabbit’s move positions OS3 as a flexible, cross‑platform solution for consumers and professionals seeking an integrated AI assistant without the need for proprietary hardware.
