Peloton launches $2,195 folding Tread Flex treadmill

Peloton announced a refresh of its treadmill lineup at a launch event in New York City, introducing the Tread Flex alongside updated versions of its two existing Tread models. The new machine, priced at $2,195, features a vertical folding mechanism that reduces its floor footprint by roughly 50 percent, a design change Peloton says responds to consumer demand for a more easily stored cardio device. According to chief product officer Nick Caldwell, the folded Tread Flex occupies less space than the company’s flagship Bike Plus and includes caster wheels for convenient mobility.

The rollout follows Peloton’s broader hardware overhaul completed last year, which added cameras, fans and AI‑driven Peloton IQ software to its equipment. By expanding its treadmill offerings with a lower‑cost, space‑saving option, Peloton aims to broaden its appeal to users with limited living areas while maintaining the brand’s integrated fitness experience. The company plans to make the Tread Flex available later this year, positioning it as a more accessible entry point into Peloton’s connected workout ecosystem.
