Google is introducing updates to its Chrome browser aimed at simplifying the research and study of complex topics. These enhancements include a memory upgrade for the existing cross-device tab switching feature and new capabilities for Gemini in Chrome, which will allow the tool to analyze a wider variety of media and generate interactive study quizzes.

The updated cross-device tab switching function will now remember the specific scroll position of a webpage when a user moves a tab from a mobile device to a computer or vice versa. This addition is designed to eliminate the need for users to manually locate their previous spot on the page, while the new Gemini features expand the browser’s utility for educational and analytical tasks.
