Netflix Adds AI Discover Tab to Show Theme‑Based Recommendations
The Verge1 min read102 words
Netflix is introducing a new "AI Discover" tab to its TV app, featuring experimental, AI-powered tools designed to assist users in finding new content. The initial experiment presents thematic categories such as "Something Light," "Family Movie Night," and "Quick Watches." Selecting a theme generates corresponding show and movie recommendations tailored to that specific mood or occasion.
The platform allows users to provide feedback on these suggestions, with the app retaining negative responses to refine future picks. Netflix states that AI Discover operates on a new intelligence layer built to respond to member input in real time while continuously learning from user interactions.
