Meta Launches AI Tools for Creating Games on Horizon Platform

Meta has announced two new development tools designed to enable users to create games for its Horizon social platform using AI prompts. The company introduced Horizon Create, a mobile application, and Horizon Studio, a browser-based app that provides more granular controls for game development. Both tools are currently available in early access, with interested users able to sign up for a waitlist to gain entry.

To address previous struggles with the Horizon platform, Meta plans to significantly increase the reach of games developed with these new tools. Published games created via Horizon Create and Horizon Studio will be recommended on Facebook and Instagram, where they will also be playable. This integration aims to leverage the larger user bases of Meta’s existing social networks to drive engagement with Horizon content.
